General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be due to:
1. Ringworm (tinea) infection
2. Contact dermatitis
3. Urticaria
The mass can be attributed to enlarged lymph node, secondary to the infection/ inflammation.

Management involves:
1. Application of Calamine lotion for symptomatic relief.
2. Intake of antihistamine preparations like Allegra
3. Application of topical steroid & antifungal ointment like Clotrimazole.
4. Antibiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infection.
5. Keep the area clean & dry.
6. Avoid wearing tight under garments & trousers, as they will cause sweat formation & predispose to further infections.

If symptoms still persist, kindly visit a Dermatologist & get a proper clinical examination done to find the exact cause.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
