What Are The Side Effects Of Thyronorm?

Sir/ madam.. My wife pregnent of 4 month, ranbaxy test report of TSH is 4.5, my wife age is 23years, doctor prescribe thyronorm 25mcg,, what is side effect, can it harm for her baby growth or any adverse effect on her featus,, so pls reply wiht satisfactory answer, should I continue thyronorm 25mcg,, from yesterday I will start to give medicine one tab on empty stomach,, pls say about side effect on her and what side effect on her baby,, I believe u will advice by good suggestion, thanks

Hello.Common side effects of thyroid hormone are palpitations, nervousness, sweating, diarrhea but are unlikely at this low dose. Thyroid hormone can be taken safely during pregnancy,does not harm the baby.TSH high level can cause damage to the baby.With prescription of thyroid hormone, TSH level will decrease and your baby will grow properly.
