What Are The Side Effects Of Glyciphage After Prolonged Consumption?
I am diabetic and have been taking glyciphage500mg twice a day which keeps my sugar level within the prescribed limit. Since I am taking this medicine for more than a year now, could you please let me know the side/harmful effects of this medicine after prolonged consumption

Generally considered to be safe however the common side effects of glyciphage include heartburn, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, and bloating. On prolonged use it may cause decrease levels of vitamin-B12 and very rarely a condition called lactic acidosis.
