What Are The Side Effects Of Tramadol?

I have just taken 1 x tramadol tablet at 12pm today and one again at 5.30pm which were prescribed to me for severe abdominal pain. Can they cause nausea as i have just been vomiting for the past hour. After the first tablet I also slept for 5hrs approx.

I appreciate your concern for the safety of Tramadol.

Basically a stronger analgesic (pain reliever) Tramadol is used to treat moderate to severe pain.

Its most common side effects include:
Vomiting, nausea, drowsiness, constipation, itching, sweating, flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling).

Since the cause of severe abdominal pain is not mentioned clearly, I would advice you to consult your treating doctor to rule out other causes of nausea and vomiting that may occur due to abdominal problem.
