What Are The Side Effects Of Pantaparazole And Benadone?

Hi Doctor, Two months back I had a surgery for the spine as there were glands in my neck which had bursted and there was an infection.Post surgery the doctor prescribed me akt4 as the biopsy reports suggested that I am suffering from gland tuberculosis.Although I take pantaparazole and Benadone( vitamin) with akt4 I feel giddy all the time, especially when I lie down.I reported this to the doctor and he prescribed Vertin 48mg for 10 days but even after that the problem persists. Can You tell me what could be the cause for this giddiness and for how long will it persist?

Hello
Biopsy showed that you are having tubercular lymphadenitis , hence your doctor advised AKT-4 , a combination of rifampicin, isnoniazide, pyrazinamide and ethambutol . Usually doctor advise this drug combination for on empty stomach . Since you are feeling dizziness , so this is the side effect of akt4 .
Most of doctors prescribe this drug only for two months .
So first of all consult your doctor for the duration of time for this drug .
Since you are also taking pantaprazole , so instead of this take pantaprazole-d , twice in day on empty stomach ( usually advise once in day ) .
Benadon is a vitamin , so you ca n take .
Since ataxia or dizziness are due to the side effect of these drugs ( akt -4 ) ,so vertin will not be effective .
Since akt -4 is necessary , so take this treatment as desired by your doctor .
Gradually this will adjust but if you feel severe side dizziness then consult your doctor .
He can reduce the period of drugs or change the course of drugs.
Good luck.
