What Are The Side Effects Of Migranil?

I m suffering from Migrane headache for the past 20 years... No relief... I d tried all neuro experts I was prescribed 8 to 10 different tablets daily which all gives me lot if sleep and dull mind... To overcome this is difficult, despite taking all other medicines, I used to take Migranil also in addition to... Well doctors don t advise Migranil, Is it such dangerous Migranil?

Hi,

Migranil contains both ergotamine and caffeine which is used to treat migraine. It helps by narrowing the blood vessels, thereby relieving migraine headaches. Side effects of Migranil are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle pain, increased heart rate, restlessness, dizziness, dyspepsia, tremor, irritability, GIT upset, weight gain, increased appetite, drowsiness, dry mouth, fatigue, tiredness, abdominal pain, heartburn, abdominal bloating, chest tightness, indigestion, allergic reactions etc. If these side effects persist for long or bother you, then you should consult your doctor promptly for medical help. Take this medication according to your doctor's advice.
