What Are The Side Effects Of Imipramine Hydrochloride?

I am a 56 years old female, the reason my Doctor recommend this medication was for pain that I have when having sex. do you recommend this medication imipramine 25mg. I read all of the side effects. wow. should I go ahead and take them One a day at bed time.

I can understand your concern. Imipramine is a Tricyclic antidepressant. The drug is one of common medicine used for pain, depression and a number of other conditions. If you have pain during intercourse this can help you. Imipramine is known to cause sedation, increased appetite, weight gain, nausea, dizziness etc side effects. The drug can also cause anticholinergic side effects like blurred vision, dryness of mouth, constipation etc. It is known to increase blood pressure also. These side effects are usually seen at high doses and at 25 mg doses it is not common to see these side effects. So if you have prescription of this drug then you can take it without any fear.
