Hi,

Glytrin is a brand name for the medication glyceryl trinitrate, also known as nitroglycerin. It is commonly used to treat angina, a condition characterized by chest pain or discomfort due to reduced blood flow to the heart. Like any medication, Glytrin can have side effects. Common side effects may include headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, flushing, and low blood pressure. These side effects are usually temporary and go away on their own.

However, if you are experiencing symptoms that are concerning or bothersome, it is important to consult with a healthcare professional. They can evaluate your specific situation, take into consideration your medical history and any other medications you may be taking, and determine if the symptoms you are experiencing are related to Glytrin or if there may be another underlying cause.

It's worth noting that some individuals may have specific sensitivities or allergies to certain medications or their components, including generic versions. If you have had adverse reactions to generic medications in the past, it is important to inform your healthcare professional about this. They can consider this when prescribing medications and may be able to provide guidance or alternative options to address your angina symptoms.

If you require a personalized response, kindly use the Ask A Doctor service and post a follow-up. Take care. Hope I have answered your question.
