What Are The Side Effects Of Efferdent?
I think my 96-year-old mother with dementia, swallowed a whole Efferdent tablet. The poison control said not to worry about it and just watch her for vomiting and dehydration. After searching the literature, I m not sure whether we should take her to the emergency room or not. She sleeping right now. Before going to sleep, she was burping quite a bit.

It is better to take her to the ER & let her stay under observation. If symptoms of side effects manifest, medical aid & symptomatic treatment can be given immediately.
The side effects are usually abdominal pain, hypotension, vomiting, breathing problems, blood in urine, internal bleeding & seizures.
Watch for dehydration or any reaction, report to the treating GP without delay. Get treated in case of side effects.
