Hi,

Citicoline is an intermediate in the generation of phosphatidylcholine from choline, a common biochemical process in cell membranes. Citicoline is used for Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia, head trauma and cerebrovascular disease.

It influences the cognitive abilities and improves nerve transmission. It is also known to repair damaged nerve cells in brain. Common side effects with its use include: blurred vision, headache, dizziness, haking of hands or feet, sleeplessness, change in pulse rate, change in blood pressure, diarrhea, nausea and stomach pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
