What Are The Side Effects Of Amlodipine 5mg Tablets?

i am diabitic taking medicine glimepride 2mg and metformin 1000mg bd i am also advised to take amlodipine 5mg once in a day for blood pressure my pulse rate runs arround 100 per minute and blood pressure 140/100 is taking madicen are alright or need to change

The common side effects of Amlodipine are;

Increased pulse rate, constipation, swelling around the ankle, etc.
If the BP is still high after taking Amlodipine 5 mg once daily, you are advised to visit your treating doctor for possible use of alternate medicine because of high pulse rate or increase in the dosage.
