What Are The Side Effects For Taking Abortion Pills In 3rd Week Of Pregnancy?

I'm 38 years hold my weight is about 53kg.

I'm about 3 weeks pregnant can you explain me what will be the condition for taking the abortion pills and the post consequence of it and where they can be provided since i'm in dharamshala. Thank you with my regard.

The medical termination of pregnancy is possible upto 7 weeks.After 7 weeks surgical procedure like D&C is required.

So as it early pregnancy the medical termination can be tried.It is effective upto 95%.

The medical termination of pregnancy includes usage of mifepristone and misoprostol tablets.


The bleeding usually starts after a few hours of taking misoprostol.

A ultrasound need to be done 14 days after to check for complete abortion.

But these medicines are associated with complications like heavy bleeding,incomplete abortion etc.

So they need to be taken under strict medical supervision to avoid complications.
