Hi Doctor I am new immigrant to Canada.these days i am taking a course at private career college, so i want need about adult dosage ,side effects ,and interactions about oral ''Haloperidol''.for my assignment to be completed tomorrow.

When it is assignment for you then you should search all details yourself,from different sources like library,and internet. Information in brief is
Haloperidol is typical antipsychotic class, similar to phenothiazine
it can be given oral and injectable route and therapeutic blood level is 25 micrograms per liter and dose can be adjusted accordingly.Usual is 1 to 10 mg
it can be used in Acute psychosis, Acute mania, Acute delirium,treatment of alcohol and opioid withdrawal are some.
early and late extrapyramidal symptoms,Akathisia, Tardive dyskinesia,dry mouth, lethargy, restlessness, muscle stiffness or cramping,Neuroleptic malignant syndrome, in ECG QT prolongation.
There are many drug interaction, antidepressants, levodopa,carbidopa, sympathomimetics, rifampicin, carbamazepine.
