What Are The Reasons For Less Bleeding During Periods In A 22-year-old?

I am a 22 year old girl with regular period cycle and proper blood flow during periods. Since the past two-three months, I am having a shorter period length(one and a half to two days). Then I experience slight blood stains at times over the next five days. What is the reason behind this and how should it be treated?

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Less flow during periods is due to lot of causes. It can due to anemia, thyroid dysfunction or it could be endocrine problem. Please do have a gynecologist consultation. Need to take hemoglobin, pelvic scan and thyroid function test. After looking all these investigations, we have to arrive at the cause. As it is not due to single cause we need have direct consultation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
