Hello,

HUCOG 5000 injection helps in maintaining pregnancy. So you don't need to worry about it. Oral progesterone is commonly prescribed during the initial months of pregnancy for maintaining pregnancy. So you can take it.

However, I'm mentioning the side effects of progesterone below:
Headache (10-31%)
Breast tenderness (16-27%)
Dizziness (15-24%)
Abdominal pain (10-20%)
Depression (19%)
Breast pain (6-16%)
Viral disease (7-12%)
Fatigue (8-9%)
Nausea (8%)
Mood swings (6%)
But in my opinion, you can take the prescribed dose of progesterone.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
