What Are The Chances Of Getting Pregnant With An IUD?

I have inserted iud six months ago ,on the monthof june ihad to go out for holidays so i took six tablests of primulate n in 3days and ihad my periods after four days i. e.on 1st july after that on 22july Ihad spotting for 3to4 days.At that time I had sex with my husband but ihad no bleeding on this month .Does it means that i am pregnant or it may be the side effect of primulate n

I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

IUD is very effective but it does not guarantee 100% safety from pregnancy. IUD has 99.7% efficacy rate. However, if you have taken Primolut N also then there are fewer chances of you getting pregnant, it should be withdrawal bleeding(spotting). None the less, if you do not get menstruation & observe some changes in your symptoms you should get a urine test for pregnancy done., as with IUD chances of Ectopic pregnancy are high.
