General & Family Physician 's  Response
thank you for your query.

I would like to rule out shingles (herpes zoster) .
These usually occur after you have already had the chicken pox (varicella zoster infection earlier) and if you have been exposed to a person with ac active disease (chicken pox).
The rashes occur in cluster and are painful and are limited to one side of the body that are restricted to one or two dermatomes.

Please see your physician to confirm the diagnosis and offer presciption medications to help with the symptoms
Hope this helps. Wish you good health.
