What Are Multiple Nodules With Hypothyroidism Suggestive Of?

just diagnosed with hypothyroid. I also have nodules which they usually do a fine needle aspiration on. Thankfully, there are not cancer. My doctor just put me on medication. Have an ultrasound and they found a pretty substantial amount of nodules. A couple big ones. My question is this: Is this something I will go through the rest of my life? Can they surgically removed the nodules now so that they do not grow back. Or now with this medication, will it help to eliminate the nodules. Thank you for your help.

Hi,

Medication should help you, dear.
Less than one percent of cases do the modules become cancerous mostly lymphoma that too mostly in autoimmune cases.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
