What Are Chances Of Getting Shingles After Getting Vaccinated?

I have bladder cancer and prostate cancer, but I use active surveillance for the prostate cancer, and I am not currently taking anything for the bladder cancer since valtrac(?) seems to have worked well. My girlfriend is taking a drug for shingles which her doctor thought was diagnosed at a very early stage. Am I in any danger when seeing her. I have had the shingles vaccine and am in otherwise good health.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The shingles vaccine is an effective one and failure rate is low. However, it will be better to avoid close contact in the infectious period.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
