Want To Stop Hydrocodone For Pain Management. Can Any Internal Medicine Doctor Prescribe Subutex?
Hi, my question is, can any internal medicine doctor prescribe subutex for pain management? I want to discuss this with my doctor. I have been on hydrocodone for pain management for several years now and want to get off of it, I have read different things online about whether or not any doctor can write it, and whether or not a class is needed. I read that it can be written by any doctor for pain management but not for addiction ( which would require an 8 hr class) cod you clarify this for me?

First of all let me make it clear for you that no online doctor can prescribe any meicine to you as we are all bound by legalities.
Second,you can not quit hydrocodone cold turkey as this shall cause sever withdrawl symptoms.
It requires a constant and gradual reduction of dose over a Period of several months before you can successfully come out of daily use of hydrocodone.
Please discuss about this with your treating doctor and be patient while reducing the amount of drug.
