Vegetarian, Gas With Oily Discharge, Orange Stools, No Diarrhoea, Floaty Stools. Suggestions?
All of a sudden I am having gas with an oily discharge . It was green the first few times and now it is orange. This also happens with a bowel movement . I do not have diarrhea , however my bowel movement seems to float a little more (which indicates to me more fat in it) and they are a little more frequent. I am a vegetarian , so I do not eat fish.
Hi,
A greenish stool with increased bowel movement possibility of infection or some kind of food poisoning which caused a mal absorption of fats. as there is indigestion it leads to gas formation due to fermentation of food . If it is transient it will pass in day or two. Keep yourself hydrated and take fluids like coconut water and buttermilk and curd. pro and pre biotics like lactobacillus may help. But if it is for long time then we must look for any kind of mal absorption or infection is there which needs specific therapy. After checking stool for routine and microscopic examination a course of antibiotic in combination of metronidazole may be given by your doctor.Take care of water it is potable and take freshly cooked meal.
Good Luck.
