Used Nair To Remove Pubic Hair. It Burned The Skin, Ended With Vaginal Odor. Bacterial Vaginosis?

Last year I was using nair to remove pubic hair. It burned and despite all my efforts, nothing made it better for at least a week. I ended up with vaginal odor which has taken some time to go away but seems to be gone. Do you think it was an infection? I was thinking bacterial vaginosis but just guessing from research I have done.

Hello,

Thanks for posting,

You probably developed folliculitis after trying to remove your hair and you probably later developed a kind of vaginal infection such as bacterial vaginosis (which is the most common cause of vaginal infection). Other possible causes of odor is vaginal yeast infection or candidosis.
It is best that you get a doctor to examine this so that we can be sure exactly what this is especially if you are still presenting with symptoms.
If no symptoms then the infection must have cleared off spontaneously.

Hope this helps
