Tingling Sensation In Left Arm And Chest, Low BP. Done EKG. Is It Stress Related Harmful To The Heart?
I am 21 years old .. i started feeling a tingling sensation on my left arm with a bit of pain on the left side of my chest... i got an ekg done a few weeks ago and everything came out normal... today i started feeling tingling on my upper left leg .. my blood pressure is 96/60 . What could it be? Could it be stress or that something is wrong with my heart?
Respected sir/ madam Thanks for writing to HCM. 1. A tingling sensation is usually not anginal in nature, especially in a 21 year old patient, when it is not associated with exertion /exercise , involves leg and lasts for days together. Hence the symptoms do not seem to be related to anginal heart disease. Since only a complete examination will rule out the other heart ailments you must see your internist. 2. This sensation can have many reasons and stress is a prominent cause (if it is the only symptom you have). I would recommend visiting an internist. Sincerely Sukhvinder
