Tingling In Pinky Finger, Atrophy On Same Hand. Is It An Autoimmune Disease?

Hello...i have tingling in my pinky and atrophy in the same hand. I dnt slur, I dnt laugh or cry uncontrollably. And I have no weakness. Though in 2005 I punched a brick wall with both hands. I had the right hand treated..but not the left. I attributed my left hand atrophy to that. My question is, does this sound like als or some autoimune disease?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The tingling and the muscle atrophy that you have described seems to be related to a disuse atrophy. A nerve injury or degeneration is the most likely cause. A nerve conduction testing will help in proper diagnosis.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
