Tickling Sensation In Throat, Coughing, Nausea, Burning Sensation In Nose. Allergy Symptoms?

I went to workout tonight and within 5 minutes of being there I began having a little tickle in my throat. I soon began with a little cough. Then, I became a little nauseated. Then, I started having a constant burning sensation in my nose. I soon became very congested. Thais all occurred around 4:45pm. It's now 8:35 and I still have the burning sensation and have had a runny nose with congestion. Did I just experience a allergic reaction to something?

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post suggest that you might be having Allergic rhinitis.
Tickling in the throat & cough can be attributed to post-nasal drip.

Management includes:
1. Antihistamine preparations like Allegra can be taken for symptomatic relief.
2. Montelukast, which is used as a maintenance therapy to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies.
3. Maintain adequate hydration & take a healthy balance diet.
4. Also make sure that you are well protected from cold, dust & other allergens.

Wishing you a good health.
Thanks & take care.
