The Ultrasound Has Shown That The Abnormally Thick Endometrium Is Heterogeneous With Multiple Cystic Spaces. How Can This Be Managed While Experiencing Amenorrhea?

My recent ultrasound has shown that the endometrium is abnormally thickened (15) and heterogeneous with multiple cystic spaces. Likely to represent endometrial hyperplasia. I currently take the pill but do not bleed - amenorrhoea. I have had no signs or symptoms to indicate this. My uterus is retroverted, the cervix is normal, there are no ovarian or adnexal lesion. I am 46 years of age.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The thickness of your endometrium( inside of your uterus) is thickened. Detailed evaluation is needed as it can be a early stage of uterine cancer. Consult a gynecologist and get evaluated for expert opinion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
