Taking Odipril And Repace For Hypertension. Swelling In The Foot And Ankle. Reason?
I am taking medicine like Odipril 2.5 mg, Repace H 50 and Stamblo 2.5 mg for last 12 year to control my hypertension . Earlier I was on 5 mg Odipril But in the last year My Dr. has changed the medicine in above fashion. But right now i am having problem of swelling my feet and ankle. I am having urine very normal as per my little knowledge but to get rid of the problem you please guide me what necessary should i take immediately.
Dear Sir/ Madam Stamlo (amlodipine) has a propensity to cause swelling feet. Although you are taking this drug for one year, still this may happen.Keeping your legs in dependent portion increases this propensity. Other plausible causes can be venous insufficiency/ renal failure/ heart failure/ low albumin. Clinical examination and guided investigations required to sort out the issue. Please see your GP. Sincerely
