Taking Medication For Streptococcal Infection, Not Getting Better. Suggestions?

Hello. My doctor analyzed me with "streptococcal infection". He gave me a prescription for penicillin, and told me to take: 1 in the morning, 1 during the middle of the day and 2 efore I go to sleep for 10 days. He told me that the pains would end after 2-4 days. It is now the 5th day, but I haven't really become any better. What can be the cause of this?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

It is better to go for a culture and sensitivity test from the inflammatory site and find the organism grown in culture and treat the same according to the sensitivity pattern of the organism will be helpful to you.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
