Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
I am answering according to you , mentioned in the query.
1 Redness in the eyes is not due to these anti tubercular drugs , so also depression.Depression is due to tension developed by tuberculosis .
2 Streptomycin is a unique bacteriocidal drug . There are so many other bacteriocidal drugs available for tuberculosis . But it depends upon the treating physician , which drug is suitable for you.
3 In my opinion ,if tuberculosis is primary treatment is only for six month. However in case of tuberculosis treating physician know the duration of treatment.
Mind one thing take complete treatment as advised by your doctor.
Good luck. Dr. HET
