Taken Misopristol. Noticed Blood Clots. Pregnancy Test Positive. Complete Abortion Or Not? Confused

Hi I've used mtp kit on 7th May(took Mifepristone) then on 8th i've taken misopristol because my last period is on 23rd march,my gynecologist told me to use that kit for medical abortion at home itself after misopristol,bleeding is there with some blood clots for one day and on second day also few blood clots after that it's like normal menstrual period but with less bleeding till today and I've checked PT today,it was positive today:(.I am in confused state,my abortion is complete or not.My doctor told that bleeding will be there for 10 days so she suggested me to come after 2 weeks to get ultrasound done to confirm abortion.Please help me

Hi,
It is true that medical abortion needs to be checked after two weeks for completion and bleeding may be seen up to 10-14 days after the abortion. Please follow your doctor's instructions, maintain local hygiene and avoid intercourse during this period. Pregnancy test may remain positive for some time as the hormone levels take some time to come down, so do not worry about that. Hope your query is answered. Wish you good health.
