Swollen Knees, Purple Like Bruise In Lower Leg, Spreading. Knee Got Hit. Cause Of Purple Marks?

I knocked my knee last sunday and it swelled up with what seems to be liquid on the knee cap, its very swollen but my main concern is that since this happened my lower leg has become purple/blue like a bruise ( mottled) but it does not hurt, it seems to be spreading, i am worried that my knee is still swollen with liquid after a week but am also worried about these purple marks.

any advice please

Hi,
It seems that due to hard hit on knee joint there might be formation of big hematoma on the joint and now collected blood gravitated down to lower leg producing blue discoloration and bruises.
Consult you doctor and go for antibiotic medicine to prevent infection.
Raise your leg.
Apply cold ice pack 2-3 times on the part.

Swollen knee after injury and fluid on knee ca could be due to haematoma formation(collection of blood). Purple mark over your lower leg could be due to fulling of blood to dependent area.I suggest you consult an orthopaedician for clinical examination and proper treatment.
