Swelling In Uvula With Yellow Pocket At The End, Itchy Throat, Pain In Chest While Swallowing. History Of Having A Type Of Chilli. Reaction?

I had a type of vegeterian chili at a church dinner today and after three bites my uvula swelled my throat got itchy and my chest hurt. Someone have me a Zyrtec and that seemed to help but I still have chest pain when swallowing and a swollen uvula with a yellow pocket on the endof it and it's been 6 hours. Am I still having a reaction?

Hi, at the moment of third bite you had this reaction, means the chilli must be very allergic to you, and it will take some time for cure, if you get it treated promptly. More over it is infected secondarily with bacteria.
I to my patient with such symptoms prescribe, Levocitrizine, ranitidine, injections of betamethasone, and gentamycin for 5 days. and then taper the betamethasone slowly orally. Thank you.
