General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
PCOS is a treatable condition which would cause infertility due to irregular menstrual cycles and untimely ovulation.
Hence the prime area addressed through medications is to correct menstrual cycles to normal and induce ovulation at right time to improve the chances of conception.
Along with it, it is also seen that optimum calorie intake with weight reduction through diet and exercise further improves the chances to conceive.
In case you are doing this but there is no improvement in weight reduction, it could be due to other hormonal imbalance like thyroid, which needs evaluation.
Kindly get your thyroid profile test done and consult Gynecologist for proper evaluation and management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
