Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my mother is of age 65. she is a heart patient with one mitral value. She is currently taking once concor 2.5 every morning and evening each. but her bp is 110 and 170. she use to take norvasc and tenormin before with bp properly handled. can she go back to old medicines.
BP of 170/110 is high and Concor 2.5 mg is not sufficient to control such a high BP . If she was well controlled on Norvasc and Tenormin and was free from side effects, she can go back to the same.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Noble Zachariah, Internal Medicine Specialist
