Suggest Treatment To Avoid Infection Caused From Poison Oak

my husband has had poison ivy or poison oak for 3 weeks now, but it seems to have spread continually and seems to still be spreading. he was put on a long course of steroids but it continues to spread. is there something else to be doing? is there some way to stop the spreading?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have infection caused by poison oak which seems to be probably due to allergic reaction.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult allergy specialist without any delay to prevent the condition like anaphylaxis. Doctor may give adrenaline short. For now drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated and take over the counter antihistamines like zyrtec. Apply cold compresses to skin.
