Suggest Treatment For White Coating On The Tonsils Other Than Antibiotics

My left tonsil is swollen and inflamed - it has been for almost a week now. it hurts to swallow (though i do not have difficulty) - my left ear feels a bit sore, as do my gums. I have not had a fever, or chills. it feels as if some glands on the right side of my neck are swollen as well. My tonsil has white filmy coating on it in the back and what look like tonsil stones that i cannot really reach. Is there anyway to tackle this WITHOUT the use of anti-biotics?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
It would be better if you take antibiotics . If you do not wish to take then you should take gargles like luke warm saline gargles and betadine germicide gargles to prevent further infection and to maintain cleanliness in the throat.
