Suggest Treatment For Vomiting, Diarrhea, Fever And Abdominal Pain

I had flu like symptoms vomiting, diarrhea. fever, stomach pain since monday most of the symptoms have gotten better but now I have gone from diarrhea to dark tar like stools. When I was vomiting and had diarrhea they were both dark with a lot of green bile. Do I need to see doctor or will it go away

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it can be amoebic dysentery however stool analysis and microscopy may be needed after consulting your primary care physician.

Meanwhile, if symptoms persist, antiemetics such as dimenhydrinate and antibiotics like metronidazole may be needed. Meanwhile, keep good hydration and salts and water replacement with oral rehydration salts.

Soft diets should be ensured. These symptoms shouldn't be ignored. Tarry stools if persist may need a workup for Marlena or gastrointestinal bleeding.
