Hello,

Get clinically examined by a gynecologist to detect the type of prolapse from which you are suffering, it can be bladder, uterus, vagina or rectum prolapse. Your treatment will depend on the type and degree of prolapse found. You're more likely experiencing vaginal prolapse since you have given birth recently.

It occurs when muscles or supportive connective tissue is weak, damaged or stretched. If they are left without treatment, the organs could protrude outside the body or the vagina. To strengthen the muscles and connective tissue of the pelvic organs, pelvic floor exercises are helpful. Avoiding doing strenuous exercises, or standing for a long time; make these your lifestyle change.

Keep your pelvic area clean and hygienic to avoid infection of any kind. Hormone treatment is given if needed. It can reduce or lessen the symptoms of vaginal prolapse. Treatment of choice is insertion of vaginal pessaries; it is done by a gynecologist.

There are mild side effects from pessary use like vaginal irritation, foul-smelling discharge, UTI. However, as pessaries are removable, any side effect can quickly be corrected. Intercourse can be done with a ring pessary in place, though most women prefer removing it for sexual activity. Vaginal pessary or ring is less invasive than surgery. However, surgery is recommended if the pessary inserted fails to work.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
