Suggest Treatment For Urinary Incontinence In A Child

My 7 yr old son has a UTI and has incontinence all day and night and intense pain in his penile area. He is now peeing cold urine. What does that mean? He is seeing a urologist in 2 days and he has had normal cultures, normal ultrasound and CT scan. He was never incontinenet before or peeing on himself before this UTI.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your son seem to be related to a urinary tract infection.

I suggest starting a cycle of antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin.

I also suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Tylenol to relieve the symptoms.

I recommend giving a lot of liquids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
