Suggest Treatment For Upper Respiratory Infection With Severe Cough And Sore Throat
I have had an upper respiratory infection for about. 3weeks now......went to the emergency care and. Tomorrow I will be going to my primary and ask for X-rays to be done. I cough a lot during the night, my ears and throat are soar at times and I am week. What do you think
You are having upper respiratory tract infection which needs to be treated properly with proper antibiotic. Advice 1. Levocetirizine 5 mg daily per oral for 7 days 2. Cefixime 100 mg every 12 hours per oral daily for 7 days 3. Do gargle with slight warm salt water four times daily 4. Do not eat heavily at a time. Eat smaller meals 5. Do not lie down immediately after meal 6. Avoid dust, smoking, alcohol, dry environment, cold and spicy food 7. Avoid coffee and tea after meal 8. Consult an ENT specialist for general examination of your nasal passage and ear 9. Investigation – complete blood count I hope this information will help you.
