General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The following conclusions can be inferred based on the penile swab report you have enclosed.
1. Presence of leucocytes (WBCs) is an indication of infection of urinary tract.
2. Presence of Gram positive cocci and bacilli indicates that there is a mixed infection.
3. However, since there is no mention about Gram negative bacteria, Gonorrhea could be possibly ruled out.
4. There is no evidence of fungal (yeast) infection being associated.
It would be ideal to be treated after getting a Urine culture and sensitivity test done to know the nature and response of the organisms.
Kindly consult your doctor with the report for administration of appropriate course of antibiotics to treat the underlying infection.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
