Suggest Treatment For The Dark Blotches On The Forehead

I am a fair skinned black skinned woman who has developed dark blotches on my forehead and over my life until it looks like I have a mustache.Waxing has not helped and over the counter bleach creams haven t worked as well as Indian threading.I need a dermatologist that specializes in skin tone for African American women in New York City or the surrounding area.

Hi.
As per your case history of facial hyperpigmentation, my treatment advice is -
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with spf more than 30.
2. Take a vitamin b12 supplement once daily for 3 months.
3. Apply a kojic acid cream like kojivit twice daily on dark spots.
4. Other treatment options are oral vitamin c, topical retinoids, chemical peeling done by a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
MBBS, DDVL.
