Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Menopause

I went through menopause at 48. I am now 65. The last few months I have been having what reminds me of pms and having bright red bleeding about half as much as a full flow for a few days. Also. Don t know if it s related I had curly hair that relaxed over the years and went straight with menopause. I now have my curl back.

Hello,

You have already mentioned that you have attained menopause at 48 years and now you are 65 years. The upper limit for menopause is 52 years usually. It seems that you are having postmenopausal bleeding, the cause of which needs to be investigated. None of the studies have mentioned any relationship between curly hair and menstrual periods.

My advice is you should consult a gynecologist and get an ultrasound abdomen done to assess the endometrial thickness and also to rule out any pelvic pathology. Kindly get a complete blood count done to assess whether you have any underlying anemia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Meera Rajeev
