Suggest Treatment For Swollen Tonsils And Ear Pain

Hi, I have had a swollen tonsil on the right side with pain in my right ear for three days now. I have had fever up to 100.2 these three days, it is very difficult and painful to swallow and my lymph nodes are enlarged, especially on the right side. Could this be a tonsillar abscess? I was sick two weeks ago with strep throat and given amoxicillin. Completed the treatment and felt better until three days ago

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Sir, it may be a case your infection had not resolved completely or you are reinfected due to recurrent exposure or decrease in your immunity level. It can be an abscess. Consult your doctor for examination and If confirmed go for surgical drainage (I&D) and complete antibiotic course.
