Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lower Limbs

Noticed swollen lower limbs. Came home and raised both legs to rest on the couch for a couple hours. Upon arising felt left knee pain. Hard to walk on it. Hurt to put weight on it. Never had pain in my knee before. This morning noticed some swollen areas just below the knee joint. Those areas not actually painful. Now painful just to have keg raised.

Hello,

If you are above 40+ of age I will advise you to have a check to your blood pressure and medications are taken beforehand for the same then have to monitor one.

Swelling in lower limbs is due to lack of venous return. Doing cardiac exercises should help improve circulation and avoid future swelling.

If diabetic then you need to check the diabetic profile as well.

Knee pain will be due to abnormal position and degenerative changes. Need some static quadriceps and static hamstring exercise to improve the muscle strength.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
