Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lip Of A Child

My 2.5 year old has a swollen bottom lip that is sensitive to touch, has some white marks on the inside and his voice is hoarse. No fever. This morning he was irritated by the back of his mouth. Do I need to get it checked out or just keep an eye on.(we have a 5 month old at home too) He seems to be himself in all other aspects.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Welcome to HCM

I understand your concern

Sudden onset of lip swelling with hoarseness suggestive of allergic reaction eighter insect bite or food born allergy.

In your case lips are tender hence more possibility of insect bite to lower lip which leads to allergic reaction.

In my OPD I treat such patient with analgesic plus anti allergic medications which resolves such kind of problems.

Please consult with near by general physician for further management.

Hope I have cleared your doubts.

Regards
