Suggest Treatment For Swollen Foot

I have a painless swollen right foot for about one year now. the doctor thinks its because of an infected toenail so she gave me diflucan for 4 months but the swelling did not go away. My toenail infection is almost gone now but the swelling though subsided a little did not entirely subside to normal level.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I would recommend performing a Doppler ultrasound of the leg vessels in order to examine the blood flow in them and exclude possible varicose veins in this leg.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
