Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband had a stroke 2 1/2 months ago. Affected is right arm and leg but speach and thinking seem fine. However, he had two very good days this week and walked quite a bit and not he can hardly lift is right leg. Also, his feet have been swollen lately.
The swelling of the feet may be a sign of heart failure. It is important that he sees his doctor and has a heart ultrasound to rule this out. Some blood tests to check liver and kidney function may be needed as well.
According to the findings in these tests and examinations, the doctor will have to determine further management plan for your husband.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
