Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Collar Bone

My collar bone is swollen at the sternum end. The lump is about the size of a grape. There is no pain, but I do have trouble sometimes swallowing food. The other side is also slightly swollen but nowhere near as big. The smaller lump has been there for years, but I only noticed this large one a couple of weeks ago.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A non-painful lump in the collar bone area needs to be investigated. A lymph node, a skin cyst may be the cause of a bone mass. You will need to let your doctor know of its presence and he will feel the lump and determine if further tests are needed (such as ultrasound or x-ray), depending on what he is suspecting after examining you.

I hope this answers your query.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
