Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Knuckles And Red Bumps On Skin

Yes, I live in Georgia... my teenage daughter is just getting over having poison ivy and I got her sheets, pillows, and blankets to wash and bleach them to make sure the clear stuff was gone. But, earlier today I pulled a little vine growing on the back deck. Our backyard is Mistletoe park basically. I also started a probiotic i got over the counter.... I noticed my knuckles looked swollen and I usually have skinny fingers. then I saw here and there the skin a little red and on my knuckle these redish white clear bumps. I googled doctored myself now I am terrified. I just left the doctor yesterday and he believes I have a gallbladder issue. Now this today? I am 37 am I turning into the crypt keeper? my eye on my left side is starting to go over the lid a little. . . ahhh help... I am not a redneck hick like they show on CNN anytime they show South Carolina or Georgia. But, I am just sorta panicking because I have to shoot a huge wedding saturday and then drive to HH . . . I cant have poison Ivy?? fix me up DOC?

Hello,

You should have taken more precaution since you were getting cleaned sheets etc., after your daughter got well from poison ivy. Never touch vine growing anywhere if you have sensitive skin or have allergy.

Now since you have reddish bumps with swollen knuckles, you are suggested to have a thorough wash with warm water. Rubbing alcohol reduces discomfort. Pat dry and apply cortisone cream on the area affected. Calamine lotion is also equally effective. Take antihistamines at bed time as they can cause dizziness, do not drive or do any heavy work. Cold compress may help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
